Questions about the AI phone assistant

Is this an AI answering machine?
It is more than that. An answering machine only records messages. The AI phone assistant holds a conversation: it answers questions about your menu and opening hours, takes reservation requests and notes callback requests with the number.
Do I need a new phone number?
No. Your existing number stays the same. You also get a German landline number and forward calls to it, for example when nobody picks up.
What happens with reservations?
The assistant checks your reservation times, lead times and blocked days and creates a reservation request. You confirm it as usual and receive an email.
Do callers notice they are talking to an AI?
Yes. The assistant says in its greeting that it is an AI and asks callers to talk to it quite normally.
Are calls recorded?
There is no audio recording. The call list shows the transcript as text, for 90 days.
Can the assistant take orders?
No. It does not take orders at the moment, but it can take a callback request.
Which countries is the assistant available in?
At the moment for restaurants in Germany, with a German landline number. You receive the number and forward your calls to it.
